ALDEA, Asturian food
is located in Posada de Llanera, capital of the council
of Llanera, in the heart of Asturias and in the middle
of the triangle made by Oviedo, Gijón y Avilés,
being far of them respectively 11, 25 and 17 kilometers.
The Council have a population of 11,407 habitants, of those 8% live in Posada de Llanera, distributed throughout a surface of 106.69 square kilometers, almost of them flat lands excepting the horthwest zone, where the mounts of Pico Granda and Santo Firme (located in Posada too), Llama de Robledo (Pruvia), the Sierras of Fresno (Anduerga) and the Peak Gorfolí (Arlós) are the most representative geographical issues.
As a sample of the cultural patrimony of the council we emphasize
the Valdés' Tower in San Cucao (lowmedieval origin, s.XIV-XV),
the church of Villardeveyo (located in Veyo and built during
Asturian monarchy, s. IX) and the romanic church of "Santiago
de Arlós"(in Arlós, s. XII).
